the music man amp is cool and 59 is a great year for guitars but not very cheap.
i still would prefer a jazzmaster 65 or earlier or an old tele those are soundin amazin

I might make a jazzmaster with some parts and get the neck sorted so its like a vintage. I was hoping you guy might help me with a few things:
what colour shall i paint it?
what pickups shall i put on it?
j says he never uses humbuckers so p90 would be my best bet [img]images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif[/img]Don’t put P-90´s since they’re not Jazzmaster pickups. Jazzmaster has Jazzmaster pickups; they’re bigger and flatter than P90’s. I suggest you use them.

You can get a non fender jazzmaster type wammy bar though Stewart Macdonald’s guitar supply http://stewmac.com Melody makers are kind of dippy looking but I think it might look a little better with that nice chrome wammy bar hardware on there. Some tell me that a Jazzmaster type wammy does not work well. But they do look cool.
Maybe this idea would work better with a les paul jr or a Les Paul copy… I never really liked the way a Les Paul looked. But the genuine article is too expensive to mess with.
