Okies, I wanna know everyone’s fav cover of a J tune. Mine would be Severed Lips by Blake Babies. Gotta love the Dino version of course, not to mention various live versions by J, but the way the Blakes’ put it down with the piano and John Strohm’s backing vocals is also incredible in my book.

Oh dear, I seem to be screwing up 2 outta 3 things today (not just in here ). Sure hope I’m back to normal tomorrow. I see now that I never should’ve started this thread since it already existed; Dino songs covered by other artists / fans. So, it’s fine by me if this one is removed, if nige’s post could be moved somewhere else. Anyways, sorry for not checking what was there.

Well Dinos version of Show me the way was pretty rocking wasn’t it and so much better than Peter Frampton’s attrocity. So it could be that.

I heard The Fog do some of Pavement’s Range Life on a John Peel session. That was strange but cool for me because they are two of my favourite artists.

Sorry guys. Maxini, it’s not your fault, I just didn’t read the topic properly and got it twisted as you can see. Sorry again!

That Peel session is also pretty damn rocking, not just the Range Life part I think. Gotta love that Buddy Rich ranting at the end of the thing too. That guy was pissed alright.

Yeah,I like Juliana`s Version of Raisans too.
Ditto for the Blake Babies cover of Severed Lips.
One cover I did`nt like was the Cowboy Junkies cover of The Post.

I really like the Severed Lips cover by Blake Babies too!

I agree with Salamiguy about the Cowboy Junkies cover of Post…
I do have a little more respect for them since they seem to have good taste but they did not do the song justice!!!
