All right! Last night in Cologne was great. We – that is: me, my dad, Samwise (who you might know from the board), and a good friend of us – left for Germany at about half past two. We had a bit of trouble finding Gebaüde 9, but when we got there shortly after seven, it turned out we’d arrived exactly at the right time. [img]images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img] When we parked our car, we saw a taxi arrive, and out came J and – I assume – his girlfriend. I’d seen him in concert before, but I never had a chance to talk to him, so I was pretty excited. We entered the building just after him, and then I said hi, and explained that we were big fans and had come from Holland to see him tonight. He seemed somewhat shy and quiet, but he was really nice. He asked if this was my first time here, and I said that I’d been to Germany before but never to Cologne. Then I said something about how I’d seen him with the band in Chicago and Kansas last year – I went to school there – and how much I was looking forward to hear him play an acoustic set, and then I had to stop babbling, so we said “see you.â€

About our dad, we were just in the middle of finding out how we would get to Cologne and back when he offered to come with us and drive us there. Only condition was jasper would drive us back, so that wasn’t a problem.
I think he really liked the show, he’s been to an electric one with the Fog, too. He thought that one was too loud, but figured an acoustic one would be cool. He even wanted to borrow one of my Dino cd’s.I still can’t believe I got to sit ON stage while J was playing, it was amazing. [img]images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img]
