      I like Start by the Jam.

      I’ve watched Quadraphenia a few times.

      I quite like "I can see for Miles" by the Who.

      The Specials first Album is a particular favorite.

      I saw a Lambretta at lunch time.

          Actually, the TV Personalities (them of Part Time Punks fame) once recorded a 7inch single called I was a mod before you was a mod. Quite funny.
          Also on the inner sleeve of the Worst of the Hard Ons compilation, there is an ad from some Aussie magazine were someone wanted to become a mod, although it was apparent from the ad (she asked for advice what to do) that she had no idea whatsoever what being a mod is all about. Pretty hilarious.

            I am actually all three…not fond of the gas part though…rather pungent as I’ve drank a lot of Hoegaarden this weekend.

            If I was mod I think I’d just be solid…’cos I’d have a crew cut.

                It is the cloudy piss of the gods…good stuff…certainly is…

                though it messes you up…I’m still hungover from Saturday night.

                Had to ring a woman about a new job earlier…had to sound perky and enthusiastic when the truth was I felt like shit…

                ah well, got an interview so I got me fingers crossed.

                might well be a RESEARCH JOURNALIST soon…so will have no need to be mod.

                  Hey Eggwater,

                  I love All Mod Cons by The Jam, also loved a song called turning Japanese by The Vapors…although don’t think its the same type of Vapors your talking about. Keith Moon…what a drummer!!! Been on a scooter..they just don’t go fast enuf for me!!

                      He`s one of my fav jazz pianists,check out "At Pershing" from 1958,a classic.

                        ‘member riding pinion on a stolen scooter as a kid aged 10…thought it was pretty fast compared to my BMX. Don’t tell my Mom…actually were chased by the park ranger in his jeep…quite a little anecdote for a minor.

                        I really don’t like that Vapors tune…though I did get your wit…very amusing…unlike my toilet humour.

                          Chased by a park ranger…sounds kinda like a cartoon I love…Yogi Bear…great story.

                          The Vapors deal is really a tribute to a friend..japanese guy…wicked guitar player. We all wanted to be him so that song was our theme song… [img]images/smiles/converted/wink.gif[/img] When he would play hippies would come in and give him a beer following some killer lead…he is great!!!
