Time and good friends…that’s all I know. Booze, buds, even the yayo, ciggies…sure they dull it…but it’s still there. Guess sometimes we just have to feel the pain. Only time will tell. Just don’t end up like my roommate. He’s been single for 6 months now and he still calls his ex everyday (she plays him like a sap) Makes me wanna puke…talk about how to NOT get on with your life. Oh yeah, and keep crankin’ the J cuz’ he always gets me through it.

if anyone has gone through a severe relationsip break-up and has any advice on dealing with it, I am all ears. So far hard booze and screaming the lyrics to Get Me and Goin Home are working, but it is fast interfering with my work life.

Many thanks

Ben (single white male, 27 tomorrow, gsoh, open to offers).

Hey Javro i wont help you with this but that s the truth…its gonna be very very hard! If you wanted it and you are sure about the reasons its easier if its the opposite…( i guess it is coz you said something about booze…)
Well there is a chance you make it up again…but it depends on the reason you broke up…
If it has to do with values as respect…dont you ever forget to respect yourself…no matter what it takes! …and dont forget THOSE THINGS THAT DONT KILL US MAKE US STRONGER
…(after 8 months things are going to be better…)

thanks for all of your kind messages. I did indeed have a good birthday, and have the hangover from hell to prove it.

Javro,

Happy belated birthday! Two things to remember when you deal with a loss of any kind:

1) you will feel a little better about the situation everyday (once the intial shock wears off)
2) that will not be the last relationship you ever have (and probably not the best either!)

I have had a pretty awful year and had to deal with loss in my life several times in the past few months. I really feel for you, but it really does get better each day. I also agree that you need to listen to J as much as possible. Don’t really understand it, but his music has gotten me through things I never thought I would survive.

Good luck!!
