…centered.

I like it. It has a very fung shei effect.

I like it too, it seems to alleviate some of the "talking head" syndrome too many boards have.

"talking head" syndrome is what I get when the people on a bulliton board don’t seem quite Real to me, you know, just talking heads without any real life.

Fuckin’ who the fuck are you fuckin’ calling a me a fucking "cracka’" and what the fuck are you fuckin’ doing talking about my fuckin’ pull to everyone fuckin’ else?

(Sorry this was influenced by Shade’s "steve martin & good movies" reply a while back)
Had ya sweatin’ that first sentence though

I just mentioned it, he didn’t have to change it…it would’ve changed anyways, our great admonisher is always playing around. Seriously, how many times has the format changed since you guys have been here?

Hey, you smell like pee-what did you mean by "centered"? And what’s "fung shei" (would knowing the answer to the second question first answer my first question now without me even having to have asked for it?…try saying that five times real fast…) Evil Malc. saw it one way and Tones saw it another. So I was wondering which way you meant it…format wise or discussion wise?

Yes, feng shui has to do with balance in your surroundings… very zen.

By centered, I mean many things on the board are no longer left justified but centered on the page.

Oh, so now I’m an asshole huh? well howdy do and fuck you too (that little finger flickin’ smilie would have been great right here, ha ha ha)

Not sure if having centeredness was worth giving up all the other stuff though.

Thanx for clearing up the Fung Shooie stuff…I knew what it’s about, just not what it was called. Now if I could just fit my desk in here better, my room would have perfect harmony leading to a more inner peaceful self…

Speaking Fing Sushi, did ya know that you should face your bed in such a manner so that when you wake up you see directly out a window? It’s supposed to be the best way to start your day…open your eyes to see wide open sky and endless horizons kind of dealy. Guess that’s not possible in a lot of city situations though. Doesn’t really work here either, usually up before the sun.
Anyways, peace you guys

speaking of "crackas"…

When I was 18-19 I worked in a lumber yard and there was always this guy who was always like "n*gg*r this and n*igg*r that". So one day, (being the peaceful, non prejudicial type I am) I got really fed up with him and his slander. I took a hammer shook it at hiom and said "you mother f*ck*r, my mom’s father is black, which makes me part black, and everytime you dis’ blacks you’re cutting on me…" as I drove the hammer through one of the walls. "…next time it’ll be you instead of this wall." He did a double take, eyes popped out of his head, his jaw dropped, and I swear he shit himself as he looked at the hammer protruding from the wall. I’m sorry, but I can’t stand racial intolerance. Needless to say, the racial slurs stopped immediately and the work place was much more tolerable from then on. Chalk up a "V" for Kurticus.

Oops, did I use the wrong icon?

I was talking to my ma today. She was talking about her neighbors at the retirement place she lives at. Said it is very 50’s like, such as you have the black oldsters on one side and the whites on the other trying to figure out ways to get rid of the other ones. Flips me out at times….
Was reading about King Cotton today in my history assignment. The chapter explained how it created a southern aristocracy that sort of led to the uneven distribution of wealth and the vast separation of social classes and racial stereotyping that we see today. Don’t get me wrong, I am not putting all of our woes on southern history by any means. The north, with their tariffs and the single-minded advocacy of abolitionism without considering the financial future of the southern economy, pissed the old boys off to the point of secession. Meanwhile, the blacks had to keep cleaning the messes and put their bodies on the line for both sides to win freedoms that they are still not privy to this day, like being taken as honest, upstanding citizens at face value, without being profiled by shopkeepers or police as instant criminals.

I like the Feng Shui mentality. Can anyone here point to or explain the coincidence that ergonomics legislature began cropping up right around the time Feng Shui was getting national press? Clinton, I think, pushed for federal ergonomics standards in the workplace and Bush shot it down in the early days of his admin.

I think centeredness must begin in the mind, yet, the mind is a sponge. It only soaks up what it is immersed in. Perhaps, the solubility of common-sense and at least moderate tolerance would provide a good balance.

Yo, peach-dawg,

I was reading the history stuff and they talked about derogatory names for the Appalachian hill folk who threw the war to the north. From what I can gather, this is where the terms hillbilly, cracker and clay eater came from. The first two I understand, but what the hell is a clay eater? The clay feet reference is just self explanatory for me. I get on my posting highhorse but really I don’t know shit and everyday I log on I realize it and am grateful you all put up with it and that you all don’t give me your home addresses in case you decided not to put up with it……

—I’m also sorry i can’t remember the racial slur for a mixed person—Oreo. I’m not really mixed…I just said it to that fucker for effect

Hey boys,

Just a point; "mulatto" is also a derogatory word for a person of mixed race. I’m consistently surprised when people apply it to themselves.

Ever hear the expression "nobody picks on my little brother but me"? Yeah, kinda like that, in my humble opinion.

Whoa, this thread seems to have mutated into something other than the centered deal.

Rosa I am with you completely on your post, I work in a hospital and when I admit someone we are supposed to document race and other stats. Always shocked to see someone use that term, I agree it is derogatory for the most part…I just put them down as Canadian Nothing wrong with messin with the ridiculous stats hospitals keep
