Pretty short one this time, but seems important (well, to me anyway)
-Saw The Girl (Sounds kinda cruel, but it’ll do) the other day. She called me Monday, but I had other plans, Saw her Wednesday and it seems she knows somethings up, I shoulda said something then, but I didn’t.
-My other plans on Monday were with this girl. We went to the mall and just sort of chilled. Then we went to Steak n Shake for a plate of cheese fries. I dig the girl, except she insisted on going dutch.
-It seems that I’ve destroyed my parents car, I took it for a repairs estimate yesterday, It’ll take $2500 to put the ’92 cavelier back into shape.
January 25, 2002 at 5:48 pm #67796first off, you probably realize this, but your guilty feelings are being brought on by yer conscience. you know yer not treating her the way she most likely wants to be treated, and you feel bad because of it. so, my advice is for you to tell her exactly how you feel, regardless of how she might react. by letting the situation stew, you’re only going to intensify the hurt and bitterness that will most likely evolve from the situation. so, quit being a douchebag, grow some balls, and tell her how you feel…NOW!! best of luck.
secondly, "…going dutch"? did yer grandparents raise you, my friend? i thought that phrase was only used in 1950s health class films about dating. try "split the bill" next time.
finally, i highly doubt a 92 chevy cavelier is even worth $2500, so your insurance might not pay over what the blue book estimates its value as…you have insurance, right?
January 25, 2002 at 5:50 pm #67797dent in rear drivers side, rear bumper broked, both back doors sealed shut, "mystery light" on bumper broken, afraid to try trunk since it may not close again, sounds like the frame shifted.
January 26, 2002 at 2:05 am #67798Hey Malcom, I’d definitely get a second opinion on that car, if I were you…
What all was damaged?
January 26, 2002 at 9:23 pm #67799The Dude, you just hit the nail on the head
Regarding the car, KBB value is about 1300, Looks like I junked my parents car.
January 26, 2002 at 9:55 pm #67800On going dutch: My Grandparents didn’t raise me atall, But Pavement has used the phrase "going Dutch" and you got to admit, Pavement it the boss
January 26, 2002 at 10:29 pm #67801Another Q for you Malcom…
You’ve implied that the accident was your fault, yet it seems that you were hit from behind… What are the details on the accident, if you don’t mind sharing?
January 26, 2002 at 11:11 pm #67802Not at all. As you can see, I like to talk about myself.
Basically, I was at a blind interesection, 2 stop signs, and a hill on the left side. I didn’t pull out far enough at the sign to see what was out there, and was struck by a car when I was midway through the section. The policeman decided I’d done a rolling stop and gave me the ticket.
January 28, 2002 at 2:06 am #67803SHE isn’t dutch, she’s liberated. And she’s practically mine once she catches on that waiting for a guy to come back from texas in July is a bad idea.
February 4, 2002 at 10:16 am #67804blind date with a girly
and your cheesy fries were curly
but the cheque when it arrived
you went dutch, dutch, dutch, dutch.February 4, 2002 at 10:30 am #67805First, Pavement is Boss.
Second, good luck on the "waiting for the girl to realise that waiting is a bad idea" thing. Hope she’ll come to her senses soon.
Third, good luck on clearing things up with girl no1.
and, cars are just cars, unless we’re talking about a VW T3 1600 fastback of course, sometimes they crash and if you don’t get injured when it happens -be glad.
You think it’s easy, but you’re wrong.
I am not one half of the problem.
Zürich is stained and it’s not my fault.February 4, 2002 at 10:52 am #67806Girl #1 hasn’t called in a few weeks, I suppose she either caught on that something’s up, or thing’s are too complicated. I suppose I should call her back and see what’s up.
Girl #2 has been around, we might catch a movie this weekend (as friends of course
The car is in limbo right now.
and Javro, like the rewrite
February 4, 2002 at 11:53 am #67807Robert from Norway – how I could have done with your help on meeting a Norwegian snowboard instructor in Tignes last week. My Scandinavian ain’t up to scratch. Luckily, as with most of you all, she spoke better English than I do. Damn hot though.
And as for my dilemma at the moment?? Shan’t run the risk of getting evicted from the boards, but let me just say it involves pancake mix (shrove tuesday next week), a webcam, an incredible young lady (and here’s the terrible bit), my best mate. How can I get him out of it??? Answers to the usual address.
Cheers.
February 4, 2002 at 8:07 pm #67808Hey Javro man, tell us about it, I’ve heard of chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and pop rocks, but never pancake mix. Time to start the Javro Journal
