Last summer I worked as a stage builder at a swedish festival called Arvika. The work was before and after the festival. We unloaded two semitrailers of equipment and rolled it up to the stage which was buillt upon a platform. These kinds of jobs are purely teamwork and is therefor quite fun, but also quite physically demanding. The timebudget is tight so there is not much time for resting while working.
When the festival was on I got to see a lot of bands including:
Sisters of Mercy – wow
Cato Salsa Experience (a norwegian band. consists of four members. guitar, bass, drums, rhodes piano and theremin)
Hellacopters
Theatre of Tragedy
The Haunted (swedish black metal)
Gary Numan
Eeh…. I also saw Placebo for about ten minutes…
All and all it was quite many interesting concerts…
This year I’m gonna work at the Swedish rock festival. It’s situated down south in Sweden.
Motorhead and english rockers Saxon are gonna be there…
