February 14, 2002 at 4:06 pm #69098Yeah,it`s great to have a band from Canada that`s good and that the whole world is amazed by;there`s plenty of crap bands in this country.
February 22, 2002 at 3:34 pm #69099yeah i agree with you! Thats a really great band! I feel glad i saw them…lets hope that other bands – good like that – are gonna come! I suppose that i have to wait till summer for the rock wave festival!(its a three day festival with cool names!)
March 28, 2002 at 6:00 pm #69100I just saw them in the UK on Tuesday and they were very good. I just went out of curiosity really since i am into My Bloody Valentine and all that but i think i am going to buy some of their albums.

….and there are plenty of good ones too, just take a look at this topic from some time ago…..I’m going to see Godspeed You Black Emperor at the Paradiso in Amsterdam wednesday the 18th of April (support act: Do Make Say Think, and afterwards Kepler is playing in the upstairs hall), looking forward to that….
now playing on my stereo: Eric’s Trip – Sloan song (from their recent live album)
April 8, 2002 at 12:12 pm #69104There`s some good bands in Canada all right, but compared to the US we`re not up to par in my opinion,we have very few indie labels compared to the US,alot of bands have to sign to american indies to get their music out.Constellation is a great label and they`re giving the Canadian music scene a good kick in the ass and showing the rest of the world that we have good music here beyond the popular stuff this country is known for.
ps-den buck-that live version of Sloan Song rocks!I love the blast of feedback at the start.
April 21, 2002 at 7:20 pm #69105some days after:
gybe was even better than expected, their music is made to get listened live, no record can preserve the impression to hear and see this special orchestra in front of your nose how ’bout Do Make Say Think in paradiso den buck?

how ’bout Do Make Say Think in paradiso den buck?

Well, den Buck did miss it all……… A week of very hard work, combined with a persistent cold accompanied by an even more persistant headache made den Buck decide to sell his ticket to someone (a Canadian guy by the way…) who wanted to see them really badly, and who hadn’t succeeded in buying a ticket, will be hearing his stories tomorrow!
By the way, it’s wonderful to see what a long weekend off of work (although that meant missing Mercury Rev as well…) combined with very fine weather can do to your cold and headache
