Anyone dig them? I think they’re pretty awesome.
I think BRMC and Trail of Dead will be this years White Stripes and Strokes (critic’s darlings). What do you dudes think?
I have`nt checked out BRMC yet but heard their name around,Trail Of Dead are quite good,I first heard them 2 years ago on the radio,was`nt that convinced by the song I heard though but like the new album alot and thinking about checking out the other 2 albums soon if my local record store does`nt collapse <img> (my sister was in the store next to it and felt the floor move <img> she reported it but not sure if they`ll do anything about it).
Y’know, I really dug that BRMC song, I think it was "Punk Rock Song." Never revisited it though, I’ll have to check them out. Trail of Dead is really awesome, I’m pretty into their new disc. I think you might put the Hives in that category as well.
Definitely agree about adding The Hives to that list!!!

Yeah, BRMC is cool, I thought so last year.
They, along with the White Stripes, the Hives, and two other bands whose names I forget were covered in a "return of the rock" type article
Oh yeah, Wilco too. Both Rolling Stone and (esp) Pitchfork gave the new disc huge praise. Plus the story behind their disc is pretty funny. I guess Warner Bros. is willing to sell Epitaph their souls to get control of the Hives. Shaping up to be an interesting year in music. Not that its ever dull, you just have to know where to look <img>
The big music festival in DC this year (HFStival), which usually has nothing indie playing has BRMC playing the main stage one day and the second stage the other and The Vines playing the second stage both days, so I guess both are starting to get some mainstream recognition.
And Allison, the "dudes" was intended as a non gender specific term, but I can add dudettes next time I use it. <img>
