Until you meet up with the dreaded Carolina Hurricanes ( <img> ) in the finals!!! O.K., so not really dreaded, but playing great hockey at the right time.
I am holding out hope that the Wings beat the Hated Avalanche. Losing 2 game sevens in a row to them adds to my hatred of them..

hey yeah,…..turd…..id looooooove to go to a Detroit game, but ehhh, no way to get there…no one to go with either, but Id enjoy the game and the pretzels! We go to a lot of Knoxvilles hockey games, crap loads more fighting. This one game 13 seconds into the game a fight broke out right in front of us (we were ringside on goalie end) and lasted for 5 full minutes and everyone came out of the boxes and fought, well, other than coaches and stuff. Its so great, they dont stop the fighting there, they let it go untill they see blood or someone goes to the ground. Kinda like seeing wrestling and hockey at the same time! That game had 13 fights in it.
If the wings dont win the cup (yeah right) I wouldnt mind seeing North Carolina win….they seem to be trying very hard for it…that last game they had terrible calls on them, non for them…stupid refs!

Game 4, 2001 Stanley Cup Conference Quarterfinals. My L.A. Kings, down 3 – 1, with 2:30 left in the game come back to score 2 sending the game into OT. In OT, Eric Belanger puts the GW goal behind Osgood.
Kings won, 4 – 3, and ended up eliminting Detroit in 6.
But, for this series, and this series only, I am a Wings fan. Lesser of two evils. <img>

Carolina made it. Incredible. after they lost game 5, I figured that would at least be taken to 7, and probably lose.
And Detroit has taken to Colorado to 7. Beautiful thing. I am in Fort Collins, CO this week (I am coming home tomorrow (Thursday), and I watched the game at Sportscasters and the place emptied out after 2nd period. I did find out that the only people who whine more than the Avalanche players are their fans..
