Hello all, in about a week I will be going to Franklin, North Carolina for about a month. I figured this would be a good place to ask any locals what some good venues are down there to see some live music. I’m looking for places you can go, pay a cover (or not), sit down with a beer and enjoy some music. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You kick ass deepslush! I just checked out the Cat’s Cradle website and saw that J is playing there on July 6. I’ve only ever seen him twice…once in Pittsburgh at Lollapalooza, and a few months ago in Philly. This is so great! Do you know what kind of a place Cat’s Cradle is (neighborhood, atmosphere, etc.)? Anyone else going to that show? Thanks again!

The Cat`s Cradle is legendary,Sonic Youth mentioned it in their song Chapel Hill-"get the cradle rockin",back then it was located in Chapel Hill.Jesse Helms once said about Chapel Hill-"put a fence around it and call it a zoo"
