Awhile back there was a dreams thread so I thought I`d start a new one,for anyone who can remember any of their dreams.
Last night I dreamed that I was back in high school with a bunch of diamonds but I did`nt know how I got them I walked out of the school to head home when some guys started threatning me saying that tomorrow they`d kill me for the diamonds I ignored them and got into my car( a yellow small car)and drove off,and then woke up.
The other night I had a dream that I was watching trucks driving over water and not sinking then I was thinking how revolutionary this is you could now drive anywhere in the world and not have to worry about the oceans dividing us
July 9, 2002 at 4:50 pm #70343I always have frickin’ High School dreams, and I’m always a loser. What I never seem to have, though, is sex dreams. I find that curious somehow.
Had a dream the other night where I was back in freshman Algebra, and the teacher wanted to talk to me about some paper i’d turned in. Then I woke up in a cold sweat.
July 9, 2002 at 5:19 pm #70344I also have the horrifying back-in-high-school dreams. Usually the theme is that I discover that I never earned enough credits to graduate, and I have to go back and take Physics all over again. Or I’m trying to track down my 12th grade English teacher, to show him the writing I’ve been doing, and they’ve restructured the school so that it’s like being trapped in a maze. I’m sure this represents something.
I think we should figure out a way to get into each others’ dreams. Maybe a la ‘The Cell’; rig up a couple of floating thingies and poke around.

RosaJuly 9, 2002 at 9:08 pm #70345i am soooo into this experiment dude, how do we proceed rosa?
the thing is i have the looniest dreams it seems like a tiny stephen king lives in my head, i try to write ’em down if i ‘member them long enough when i wake up. however my favorite is the recurring zombie dreams i have had since childhood, me and the zombies on the golf course , at camp or in the cemetary hangin’ doin’ zombie stuff, ya know. only i am not a zombie, i just pretend to be, i mean, all my friends are zombies. and there is an imposing sense of dread as i am anxiously anticipating the inevitable moment the real zombies are gonna somehow discover i am trying to pass as the undead. gotta run the zombies are at the door…July 9, 2002 at 10:00 pm #70346Hey Sars
You`re going to scare Allison with all this zombie stuff July 10, 2002 at 2:39 am #703472 I remember most vividly..
1) Hiking alone on some mountain trail. Come to a fork in the road, so I need to make a decision (not my strong suit).. and I take the path that leads up. I round the corner, and I get attacked by wolves. I had that one more than once and one time I actually woke up screaming.
2) This one was only once, and recently. I got rear ended in my car, and I leave the scene, and do some tasks (unknown).. I return some time later, and back the car back into position. WTF is that?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Any Freudians or Jungians out there to analyze??

July 10, 2002 at 4:46 am #70348Hey Carl.
The Rosaian interpretation says that #1 was warning you to make the right decision about something, and that #2 was a reassurance that you would pull through everything a-ok.
Dreams are bizarre. I firmly believe that, half the time, they are incredibly meaningful, and the other half, they mean nothing.
Ever wake up exhausted from dreaming? I think those are the meaningful ones. Just my opinion.

rosaJuly 10, 2002 at 7:50 am #70349When I was a nipper, I used to have the same dream every night. It took place in the house where I grew up, and involved me waking up in the night due to a noise (I was about 7) and walking out of my bedroom. And lo! What can only be described as an evil-bignosed-witchman-tramp ran up the stairs and grabbed me and took me into the bathroom (tiled floor). He then produced some mustard like squeezy bottles (like the ones you get in cafes/diners) and proceeded to squeeze some of the contents onto my hands and feet. The "substance" was what I at first thought to be glue, as my hands and feet were stuck to the floor, but upon closer inspection, I saw that my hands and feet, and indeed whole arms and legs were starting to disolve, as if having been covered in acid. Pretty fucking disturbing to a 7 year old.
One night, as he was trying to get me, he slipped, covering himself with the ooze and disolving himself. Never had the dream again, but it definitely disturbed me for life. And if I ever see an evil-bignosed-witchman-tramp carrying mustard bottles, I certainly ain’t gonna wait for him to get me!
Madame Rosa (as in dream reader, not proprietor of a house of ill repute) – what does it all mean?
July 10, 2002 at 12:28 pm #70350Tony-I took the loner route all my life really, never really had any aspirations in being popular in school, too shy,too quiet, too fashionless
Carl`s mountain trail dream kinda reminds me of a dream I had a couple of times;I`m on a mountain highway, looks like California like I saw on TV,I know that I`m a long way from home and have no ride to get there,so I`m walking somewhere,I feel like I could walk hundreds of miles and not get tired
Another dream I remember is I met Frank Sinatra, but he looks like he did back in the 60`s,not like he did before he died,I say to him I thought he died and he laughs and says he`ll live forever
Strange dream Javro I`m glad I did`nt have those nightmares when I was a kid.

July 10, 2002 at 1:08 pm #70351Nothing to figure out this time. . . but I think it’s odd to have a dream that reads so straight.
I was at this party with Amanda, a bunch of other people were there but the only ones that matter were myself, ‘manda, and some nameless guy. He was dressed like a typical punk, had a scar on his face, and was carrying a throwing knife. Amanda liked him, he was the enemy.
I spent the entire dream trying to summon up the strength to tell Amanda how I feel about her. We were at some house in the middle of noplace, and I finally got to go with her into town to buy ice, and then I woke up when I was about to spill it.
The only real concessions to dreamdom were a number of rocket cars (world-record types) parked by a gas station, and an exceptionally large intereior to said convienince mart. large public buildings with many interconnected rooms are something of a mainstay in my dreams.
July 10, 2002 at 3:36 pm #70352i am never surprised, dreams can effect ya strangely all day, even linger a bit sometimes…
however, if we are gonna discuss any celebrities including cartoon characters making cameo appearances in dreams we gotta start another thread. cuz i got a couple of dreams that, well did i mention i grew up next to a cemetary?
and it is not just that but the randomness of the celebs who bit part in my dreams is simply loony too. a long, long time ago, in a DREAM, randy travis saved me from an abusive boyfriend backstage at like some music award show? huh?
and just a year or so ago in a dream i was like best friends with pamela anderson chillin’ like a villian, at her beach house and giving her advice on men and such.
i do generally have a bit of chocolate before i sleep, harkening back to a theory posed earlier.
rosa , hey gorgeous, i agree, i hate waking up tired.
malkie who is ‘manda? is she your unrequited love? and have you been reading william gibson again before nap time?
red hand, peewee says ahhhhhhhh more hot dogs.
jav, ohmigod that is so cool. tell me more.
penultimate tom, one is never to old to dream about cartoon characters, dude that is like the omni -max of dreamin’.
finally, my zombie guy, were you by any chance an animal walkin’ on Pacific Coast Highway?July 10, 2002 at 5:23 pm #70353
quote:
Madame Rosa (as in dream reader, not proprietor of a house of ill repute) – what does it all mean?

Ha, I have no idea. Did you suffer some kind of severe trauma prior to the dream? See a scary movie, maybe?
My skills as dream-reader are rudimentary. But I’d manage a red-light establishment if you were one of the clients, Javro.
Then there’s this dilemma:

July 11, 2002 at 12:21 am #70355‘parilly, Amanda is this girl I’ve liked for better than a year. We’ve actually gone out a few times, but I’m one of those horrible guys who doesn’t call back terribly often. The result? I still have a big crush, but I’m almost certain she see’s me as a friend. The worst thing in the world to be is a good friend.
July 11, 2002 at 2:07 am #70356i had this dream once where i was chasing pee wee herman down some train tracks all of a sudden he ran into a dark tunnel. at that point i started trowing hotdogs into the tunnel. then i woke up
i don’t know what that dream ment though -
