this is really stupid, ‘cuz as soon as they shut it down, something else will just take over…
In the event that AG is shut down, I highly suggest we move the group to GROKSTER. It’s set up exactly like Napster.
And a big plus in my book-you can cancel transfers going from your computer. This has been a major area of pissedoffedness when it comes to AG for me, because you’ll be DL’ing stuff and then AG will rape you on uploads. Thus bringing your DL’s and websurfing ability to a grinding halt.

Good idea to prepare and check out other sites for the group…thanks <img> I like AG but definitely would prefer something where I had more control over how many songs can go out and when….big problem for me sometimes as well.

Guy in a Hellacopters group Kids In Denial posted a link to a petition to stop the shutdown, can’t say I think it will do any good at all but hey if you want to sign… petition

I really do wish the RIAA would get their head out of that dark place and try and work with these sites, like Colonelkurtz said something new will always come up. Doesn’t seem to be the plan though, they would prefer to limit our access to all kinds of info sharing, even the kind they have no business caring about. Ok thats my spiel <img>

I have to agree with everyone that AG tends to piss me off at times.

I do have a question that may seem too obvious but I’ll as it anyway. <img> Since I joined the Freakscene group on AG I receive songs that I didn’t request, is this because the other members of AG are sending it to me? Just curious if someone could confirm or not.

Haven’t excactly been using AG much, but I’ve appreciated the songs that have been sent to me from the other freaksceners on AG. Question follows: how do I send songs to members of freakscene on AG? Now that I’m finished with my exams I plan to do some up and downloading of music and stuff. Downloaded the complete set of Futurama (4 seasons with about 20 episodes each) using Directconnect last night, so I’ve been in some sort of Futuramahibernation for the last 16 hrs.

Mental note to Robert: "apparently I’ve got a song list, this I must find. Check what you’re doing before asking questions, this way you might not end up looking like a complete retard."

Look out freaksceners of the world, prepare to recieve endless amounts of songs!

Yeah it took a while to download it, but it was worth it! Each episode is about 225 mb, and my dnl speed was 1,2 mb pr sec, so…
