I had no place else to ask, and a Celine Dion skit on Mad TV has made me [somehow] wonder:
What happened to Meatloaf?
September 3, 2002 at 11:47 am #71486And why I posted this in this forum is beyond me. My apoligies.
September 4, 2002 at 2:56 am #71487Leave it to Jaron to start a thread on Meatloaf
I don`t know where he is,he seems to disappear every few years, his comeback in the early 90`s really surprised me,I did`nt think he would do a Bat Out Of Hell 2 and sell a ton of it
September 5, 2002 at 4:12 pm #71488Isnt Meatloaf touring with the Macclesfield Amature Dramatics Society doing a version of the Rocky Horror Picture show? The bigger they are the harder they fall, eh!
I reckon hes gonna make a big come back riding on the crest of the 1980s nostalgia wave.September 5, 2002 at 4:21 pm #71489Where’s the Meatloaf Behind the Music? That will answer all questions.

The big excitement: mid-career, he lost his voice and had to go into psychotherapy to correct it. The horror.
And yeah, I think he’s been focusing more on acting in recent years- have seen him in a bunch of small parts.
And speaking of, did anyone see the episode of Saturday Night live with Horatio Sanz as Meatloaf? Dear god.

Celine was doing a duets album and she kept singing so loud she made the other people stop singing. But Meatloaf kept right on going. The voices were dead-on and hilarious.
September 5, 2002 at 7:26 pm #71493Didn’t they have Horatio do Meatloaf on the "Rockers to Help Explain Watergate" skit? I know they had Adam Sandler as Axl Rose.
Behind the Music is dead. Goo Goo Doll’s convinced me of that (he had writers block, the horror) know what we need? GWAR, behind the music. Or better yet, Mayhem, behind the music. There’s a story.
September 5, 2002 at 7:28 pm #71494GG Allin Behind the Music would reign.
September 5, 2002 at 9:15 pm #71495Sandler used to do Eddie Vedder, too. I remember trying really hard not to laugh.

rSeptember 6, 2002 at 12:56 am #71496I’m partial, but a Pumpkins BTM would rock, except for the fact that Corgan would either out and out lie or just refuse to explain anything.
