I dont’t think this one is in the ‘Mouthing off’ book:
"I don’t know, I just love the song. I love her, Pat Benatar. I think she’s amazing … a rock ‘n’ roll chick."
Britney Spears, speaking to the Boston Herald about her cover of the song "I love rock and roll", a song made famous by Joan Jett.
There is no recording of Pat Benatar ever singing the song
Another one from Britney:
"I get to go to lots of overseas places, like Canada"

April 13, 2002 at 11:24 pm #71993Nice! You reminded me of another Britney gem:
"I dunno, I can’t really relate to the song"
–referring to "Baby One More Time", her breakout hithehehe
rosaApril 13, 2002 at 11:46 pm #71994Oh, and I can’t forget:
"I used to like him until he started disrespecting God"

rosaApril 15, 2002 at 12:41 pm #71995Maurice Gibb from the Bee Gees:
"Barry and Robin are two people, but not really"
April 15, 2002 at 5:48 pm #71996Is it wrong for me to desire the execution of anyone who’d confuse Joan Jett for Pat Benatar?
I’m torn here.

April 15, 2002 at 6:07 pm #71997Joan Jett would probably agree with you about the need for an execution Mattman

April 15, 2002 at 7:37 pm #71999"This is Primus, I like it. . . But when I listen closely I hear something I hate… slap bass"-Yngiwe Malmsteen, during a blind listening test for Guitar World. (he also tore apart Dinosaur Jr. )
Isn’t that like saying "I like Van Halen, but I hate tapping?"

"It was hard for my brother, because those guys like to go OUT. The highest compliment we got was from the security guards. Those guys all said it was the best music they ever heard ‘all that noise and feedback and shit’."
