We covered this topic awhile back… As long as all money talk, transactions, and other business happens off-site, we don’t mind you advertising. Basically, we just can’t be responsible if something goes wrong with the trade…

So yeah, linking to ebay’s OK. <img>

I can only hope he is planning on buying the soon-to-be-released ‘reduxe’ of S+E which includes that EP plus a whole lotta other stuff.

yeah, you guys are smart I’ve ordered the rerelease (that goes for the flaming lips too) but I just read that the album is going to be remastered so I’m thinking I should keep my old one. (remastering S + E???? doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the whole lo-fi thing)

It does seem rather contradictory. I’m sort of leery. Let us know if it’s jacked up.

Also, what’s wrong with having over 400 cds?

I was looking into this shelf for christmas that holds 400. pretty pathetic reasoning, huh?

Anyway I just had a change of heart and took most of those CD’s off ebay. Even watery domestic, it’s good to have just to borrow to a friend if you want to introduce them to pavement plus maybe somedays I’ll just want to listen to those 4 songs and not shuffle through all the crap on the rerelease.

I don’t know what’s going on it’s not like I’m broke or anything I was just having a bit of a personal crisis I guess.

Did you guys ever see the movie Vinyl (probably very hard to find you can rent it at Roger’s video in Canada). It’s scary how much I identified with all of the fuckups in that show.

It’s like once you have too much music you don’t appreciate it anymore it’s just an addiction. I have CDs that I’ve listened to less than once and some I haven’t listened to in years. I rarely just sit in my room and listen to music anymore I’m usually just discovering new stuff on the internet. And even if I do sit in my room and listen to music there are other things I should probably be doing instead like studying or going out and meeting people, getting a life, being realistic.

Sorry about all this, just venting, had a rough couple of days. If anyone wants to discuss this stuff taht’s be cool.

I`ve bought alot of music over the past 13 years,I sold alot of music too,I regret selling alot of stuff that at the time I thought I would`nt be going back to,of course I was just doing what I`ve always done, getting rid of things I thought I did`nt need anymore, like comic books or hockey and baseball cards.
There`s nothing wrong with having a big music collection, don`t listen to people who think it`s immature.Make sure you`re not selling something that years from now you might want to hear again.

Okay people, I got something else I’m selling

                          brand new sealed

The Shambolic Birth & Early Life of The Flaming Lips

This is a sampler of the LIps’ indie years. I’m practically giving it away at 99 cents. (I have two of them that’s why I’m selling it)

Follow my ebay link in the first post

I hear ya, Bob. I’m approaching 500 cds and I can’t stop buying. Certainly I don’t get to listen to ones I have just bought very much before I go and buy more. Just can’t help it. I have a cd rack that holds like 475 and now it is full. I need to find something else to go along with it. But I do sometimes go and get rid of stuff I never listen to and never did listen to very much. This was especially the case when I was unemployed with little money but was constantly tempted by the best record store on earth.

It sucks because at work I can only listen to music on shitty little speakers at a low volume. Its usuallly not even worth it. At home, my good speakers/stereo system are in the living room, but my computer/internet access is in the bedroom. The stereo I have in there sucks. So do my computer’s speakers.

However, I don’t agree with the fact that if you have lots of music its just an addiction and you don’t appreciate it more. I think it’s really the opposite. The people that don’t appreciate music are the ones who own 15-20 cds and don’t give a damn when you try and play good stuff for them.
