vicious virus going around…check your files!!!

Please check and verify if you have this virus. Since it is supposedly passed on to everyone in the address book, it is very probable that you have
it. If you do have it, contact all the people in YOUR ADDRESS BOOK because the virus AUTOMATICALLY sends everyone in your address book a message with the virus.

The virus’ name is jdbgmgr.exe and it is not detected with McAfee or Norton.
If you have the AVG virus scanner it also got by that one. It remains in your computer for 14 days before it erases all your files.

To delete and eliminate it completely, please do the following immediately:

1. Click on START – FIND – FILES OR FOLDERS

2. Under NAME, type jdbgmgr.exe and click FIND NOW. Make sure you are looking on Drive (C).

3. If the virus appears, (the icon next to it will be a smally teddy bear), the name will be jdbgmgr.exe.

4. DO NOT OPEN IT. Just right click on it and DELETE it. The virus program will be sent to the Recycle Bin.

5. After you see it disappear, right click on START – EXPLORE. When your folders and programs appear, scroll down to RECYCLE BIN. Click once on
RECYCLE BIN to highlight it. Then click on FILE and EMPTY RECYCLE BIN. Your will then DELETE it from your program files.

6. If you find this virus in your system, please send this message toeveryone in your address list ASAP.

yadda yadda yadda

Hey u get something in the mail, and u think u should share it and then u look like a total horses arse.

yeah, I’m e-mailing people back with all these links. One of them says that if you received it as an attachment, it may contain malicious programming, so who knows. With a simple click of the mouse it can be deleted and reloaded. Better safe than sorry, I guess.

Sorry for my part in contributing to the general public pandimonium without further researching this topic on my own.

Can we still be friends?

Peace
