Yeah, I’m goin’ crazy with the mixes today… Well, actually I’ve passed this one out to a couple of friends a while back, and with good results.

…and yes, Emily will be getting a copy of it too.

hey Mattman, I thought of checking out Songs:Ohia then and when, but didn’t know where to start…
Good to have a "manual" like this

It’s a start, but there is soooooo much that I had to leave out because I ran out of CD.

Still, I have no idea which album to tell you to try first… They’re all so great, but they’re also all so different… My favorite changes depending on my current frame of mood/mind. One thing for sure though, Jason Molina has quickly become one of my favorite performers… Possibly up there with J!!! (But of a completely different style.)

I’m sure that there are a couple of others here who can also be of great help, such as Dead Man Ray (Spaceboy ) or Salami…

Like I said, a lot got left off… I could easily make two more mixes and still probably have to leave something off…

I don`t know as much about Song Ohia as Spaceboy,I don`t even have any SO albums since I never see any around here.I`ve heard some songs on the radio and mp3`s,Matt did a good mix I thought.
Everyone should listen to Palace first though,Jason did`nt try to sound like Will Oldham but sound wise it`s something to check out for sure.My fav Palace albums are Days In The Wake(it`s actually self titled-Palace Brothers)and Lost Blues And Other Songs.

Great Mix, Some Beautiful Songs
U forgot some Beautiful Ones, but he has so many great songs

If u wanna check out some Songs Ohia, its very difficult to choose 1 album to start with, they all are great but oh so different from each other

U can check these ones:
01: The Black Album (or entitled Songs Ohia)
02: Ghost Tropic
03: The Lioness
04: Axxess & Ace
05: Didn’t It Rain
06: Impala

If u wanna try Songs Ohia/Will Oldham/Appendix Out
Try The Amalgamated Sons of Hope Ep, each artist has 2 songs on that Ep, its a beauty too

If u wanna try Will Oldham, check Out:
01: Arise, Therefore
02: Lost Blues & Other Songs
03: I See A Darkness
04: Palace Brothers (Acoustic)

They all are under different names (Will Oldham, Palace Brothers, Bonny Billy) but its beautiful music
