Quote:Hey sorry to say I had a chimney fire in my house and Bob’s place is
completely destroyed for now. The house is structurally ok, but the studio is trashed. Most of the gear and everything is melted, black and fucked.
Miraculously some guitars are pretty much ok. A 58 jazzmaster was completely black front and back, but was still in tune, and hopefully Bob’s will be back with in the year. Bob was rescued from the fire by Luisa my girlfriend. And we all got out and are ok. We were watching the osbournes at the time so if you know ozzy ask him to send us a card especially since Bob and Lola look so much alike. I interviewed ozzy for a magazine a few years ago and it was a great moment in my life getting to ask Oz all the questions I’d wondered about over the years.
bye4now JHate to see something like that happen but I am glad everyone is ok….
So – who here has a connection with Ozzy….?
February 2, 2003 at 9:06 am #91039That’s bad….

Glad that everyone (and Bob) is OK though…
February 2, 2003 at 10:22 am #91040Thata a real bummer
But Im glad that everyone is okNo connection with Ozzy, maybe we can send a mail to MTV America
February 2, 2003 at 10:28 am #91041Really sorry to hear that!

glad everyone’s ok, but it must hurt that so much gear & other stuff is destroyed
Hopefully there were no new or yet unheard recordings destroyed, too
The remarks about the Osbournes are funny, though

Hope, Ozzy will send J a card
February 2, 2003 at 11:06 am #91042This really sucks!!!

I’m glad Bob got rescued…
It must just be one of those weeks…

I wonder if J’s first guitar, the old Jazzmaster w/ all the stickers, survived? That’s his signature axe…
February 2, 2003 at 11:31 am #91043yeah that jazzmaster was/is a cool axe. Maybe we’ll see that smoked ’58 on this coming tour

Sorry to hear about your place J, glad noone was hurt.
February 2, 2003 at 11:34 am #91044Yes, this sucks. Glad no one was hurt.
February 2, 2003 at 12:29 pm #91045Glad to hear J,Luisa, and Bob are ok
,sucks about the studio and everything though
February 2, 2003 at 1:15 pm #91046Yikes

Definitely good to hear no one was hurt, shame about the gear & all
Gotta love that smoked guitar story, hope it does turn up on tour…somebody please get pics if it does
They definitely deserve a card from The Osbournes. Bob does resemble Lola, wonder if he pines for J like Lola does for Ozzy when he’s away

Fingers crossed Bob’s place will be back within the year
February 2, 2003 at 1:18 pm #91047I’ll give you my jazzmaster 63′ if you want it.. it’s not as nice as the dark blue ones you’ve got, but it’s lake placid blue…(refinished, though..)
glad everyone physically survived the fire.
February 2, 2003 at 2:40 pm #91048oo dear
thats preeettty baaad , at leats no-one was huurt . Shiit that the studio got trasheed though, but a good selling point for the jazzmaster to still be in tune.February 2, 2003 at 3:40 pm #91049that’s a total bummer, but i’m definitely glad everyone is ok …
good luck w/fixing up your studio again
February 3, 2003 at 8:03 am #91050bump
February 3, 2003 at 10:43 am #91051simmons,
Are you selling the Jazzmaster because I have a 63 Jaguar and I would love to have a match. Are you serious about wanting to give it to J because I plan on going to the first night of the tour and I could give it to him. How many members are on Freakscene, we could all chip in a couple of bucks and buy that guitar or another one for J.
February 3, 2003 at 10:44 am #91052Mattman,
J’s sticker Jazzmaster is in the Rock and Roll museum in Seatle.
