I was waiting for this to happen….my brother just bailed out on me for the Sunday concert at the Northstar. So it’s a lonely 3 1/2 hour ride (one way) in the gas-guzzling beast to get to Philly, then turn around after the show and head back. I hate going to bars or concerts by myself (but I obviously won’t skip this!), so if anyone else from the board will be attending the philly gig, maybe we could say hi and grab a beer.

And, of course, there is now an extra ticket available…

Let’s hear it, who’s goin’ to Philly?

I’m coming in from Bellefonte (smack in the center of PA). I don’t know if it’s closer than the DC show, but I’m familiar with the Northstar (and really like the place)…plus I have to work Friday night anyway. Based on the replies I think I’ll be the only person there  I can see it now, plenty of space to move around…no drunks bouncing off of me or yelling in my ear :)

hey ohsoloco, I’m vigorously hoping that you won’t be the only one there
hey, I wish you a nice trip and that you’ll be there with a big bunch of nice & polite folks, having lots of fun at the show (…take care of yer ears, though!)

Crap, who knows if I’ll be there at all now. A friggin’ snowstorm this weekend! I hate to drive that far in the snow….but don’t know if I can sit at home with a set of Mascis tickets either! Holt, ya sure you don’t want a ticket and a ride to philly?

Considering the warnings and comments about earlier shows….this iz gonna be a loud one, huh?

hey, I keep my fingers crossed that you can make it to see the show :!: sitting at home at the time of the show with Mascis tickets definitely sucks!
And yes, the current J & the Fog shows are loud

And now the weather channel isn’t predicting much snow in this neck of the woods…but they were saying this morining that Philly could get really whapped. I may just have to suck it up, lock the front hubs in, and go. Lemme just say I haven’t watched the weather this closely in a LONG time :?

Perhaps I should bring a set of ear plugs with me? I’ve never worn ear plugs at a concert (but wished I had many times). My ears ring all the time as it is…If it’s loud, I hope J plays Sludgefeast

Well I too am sitting on J tickets for the show and here now there is tons of snow already on the ground and the serious stuff has not arrived yet (I live about 30 min. outside Philly). Fortunatly I was able to attend the Newark show. Looks like tonight may be cancelled. Now calling for 1-2 ft.

Stay home & be safe :!: I drove thru an icy snow storm to see JAMC once, just about died slipping all over the I94  Hopefully you’ll get to check out another show in the near future

winter sucks

Excellent, I haven’t sent my tickets back to ticketmaster yet, and this show is on a Saturday night! What are the chances of a freak nor-easter in late April? Sooo, I still have that extra ticket…so anyone from central PA that would like a ticket and a ride there, lemme know.

Well, I managed to find someone to go to the show with me, so the ticket is gone. Anyone else from central PA going? Perhaps a carpool could be in order…
