…So I’m sick and tired of being dragged to Karaoke night at a local watering hole and flipping through pages and pages of trash before I end up singing Clarence Carters’ comedic funk number "Strokin’" or a rousing version of Robert Palmer’s "Addicted to Love" or an occasional Prince jam, usually "Little Red Corvette". My dream song to find is Perry Como’s "Magic Moments", however if they had real bands I feel it would be alot more fun. I added the (er) as to not offend any Karaoke fans that like singing the same old same old. Not that there is anything wrong with that, maybe there are good Karaoke places but this is getting to long and misguided so back to the top…

Because it doesn´t show that you´re drunk when you don´t know the exact words and just mumble seen no one does know them anyway.
I was going to suggest "Transmission" by Joy Division, because it seems the opposite of most Karaokee numbers.
Actually the Smith’s "Panic" is the polar opposite

I could BEAR a karaoke nite that included Breakthrough by Modest Mouse along with all the songs people have mentioned….while drinking away the parts of the day I cannot sleep away.

Karaoke Bars would be cool(er) if they had… someone walk up to the microphones, and destroy them. Then someone walks up to the rest of the Karaoke equipment and places their drunken foot into all of it..

I met the female singer of our band in a Karaoke-bar. She had finished "I will survive" and I was both impressed and drunk. We start talking about music and bands and the rest is uh …history!
I’m not sure if she had done Paradise by the the dashboardlight it would have end the same way, on the other hand….I was drunk anyways
