Hopefully this hasn’t been asked a hundred times before, I didn’t go through every post on the bbs and am not even sure if this is the right forum to ask in but…..(yes mumbling and rambling off on a tangent again) "Green Mind" in the many bootlegs I’ve checked on I’ve never seen it. Is it simply not a song Dino/J play live. Is there a reason for this? Am I just not looking at the right bootleg? Any ideas or thought?
July 11, 2003 at 3:48 am #94855I’ve never seen a bootleg with that song either.. same goes for muck, how’d you pint that one on me. and a couple of other songs from the other albums.
maybe, J think the song sounds a bit thin with only one guitar.I don’t know..
the green mind song has an acoustic guitar in the chorus.. ( reminds me a bit of the cure’s in between days cause it’s the same kind of guitar rhytm.
)here’s the dino songs I haven’t yet heard on any live recording.

pebble+weedJuly 11, 2003 at 6:12 am #94856i remember hearing Gettin Rough live in DC or Baltimore in the 90’s. He came out plucking a banjo, and everything was fine after that.
July 11, 2003 at 3:55 pm #94857I also haven’t ever seen the song Green Mind on any live recording, as well as the songs mentioned by simmons — that’s an interesting list simmons, thanks!

looks like J has his own "big set list" of songs which he likes to play live…
From a German interview last year:
Quote:For the tour, J will also have old songs in the baggage, of course, although record and shows are primarily for his own amusement, as J admits frankly. He also reveals however, that he plays songs on request from time to time. "In the past I was accused of playing not enough ‘hits’. It always depends on the situation. If there are requests from the crowd, I play those frequently. However, I’d never play ‘Feel The Pain’ or ‘Start Choppin’."Actually, there are some live recordings of Feel the Pain or Start Choppin’, but only from the time when they were just released.
