)Hey SG, have you been to Barrington, NS? My grandfather grew up there and my great-grandmother is buried there–and a cousin, I think, of my grandfather still lives there (she’s an old woman).
I got:
Alasdair Roberts–Farewell Sorrow
Roxy Music–Thrill of it All box set. It was only $30 used and seems to go for $90 new!November 1, 2003 at 6:31 pm #96853BR-no,I think I`ve heard of Barrington though,it`s problably a small place,I`ll look it up on the map.

1.Something you’ve been saying for the last 10 years and still nobody is listening to you.
2.One thing from the last 10 years you wished you never said.
3.What song/album from the last 10 years do you wish you’d written. Will Oldham replies:
1.Pete Townshend is into child pornography.
2.See 1 & 3
3.Blasphemer by the Vaginal Pussy Cunts.Charming guy
November 4, 2003 at 7:30 am #96857More fun with Will Oldham:
-he once did a burping set at CBGB`s
-Interviewers try to talk about old country and folk music but he wants to talk about rap
-a no show here in 98
(maybe the celtic mafia warned him not to show up
)
-did an album with Silver Jews frontman DC Berman but it was never released
-usually covers a Tim McGraw
song in live shows
-covered alot of songs by The Misfits
-once did a gig with Nancy Sinatra

mission of burma–i have the signals, call and marches thing, and its not as good as that, but mob was f’n awesome. digging on this record
lsf–best thing they have done. apart from their live shows, which are their strength

The Matrix Reloaded DVD (Hate that movie but I said I wanna have that 2 someone so he burned it for me so I have 2 buy it
)November 4, 2003 at 1:34 pm #96863hey G’s S,
Haven’t seen the new Shins over here yet, gonna check that one for sure….
Have heard the new Strokes being played in a record store, wasn’t too impressed with it, sounded like more of the same to me (I wasn’t too impressed by ‘Is this it’ either….).
Paul Westerberg – Another new one? I just bought the new Grandpaboy album ‘Dead man shake’, that one is a little too bluesy for me, some fine songs inbetween, it seems that there will be three PW cd’s and a dvd between now and spring 2004….beat that, Ryan Adams…
November 4, 2003 at 1:51 pm #96864yeah, that’s the deal with paul. i really hate the fact that he calls himself grandpaboy (he’s paul f’n westerberg!!!!!), but stoked for the output. dead man shake and come feel me tremble are released within a few weeks of each other. the dvd is what i am most stoked for
