Not sure where the thread is but my understanding of what an Ammaring is just a ring with Amma`s face on it.Amma is a lady from India that hugs people.J admires her and you might say she`s J`s guru.

When I first heard the song I thought it was about that certain group of people in your community
who live with Amma 9 months out of the year and then come home and hold vegetarian potlucks
at the Unitarian Universalist church, show a cool slide shows of the Ashram, and ask if you would like to
come to India for a few months. You get to eat curried chick peas and Barfi, yum,yum. It was on Freakscene that I read about the "ring", perhaps it in a Mike Watt journal, heck, I don’t remember.
