      Hi.

      This evening I will be attending the J (solo?) show here in Cagliari. I tape almost every show that I attend, so, my 100.000 $ question is:

      "How’s J’s taping policy? Can I tape freely?"

      and the 1.000.000 $ is:

      "Can I get a soundboard patch? If yes, who I have to talk to?"

        i think it’s not so much a question of whether j is ok with taping, but if the club is ok with taping

          I think J is ok with taping, I taped the Rimini concert two meters away from him….but it really depends on the club policy….in Rimini there was no security, no checking, no everything…anyway I think small clubs allows cameras in….have fun!

              The show was fantastic!

              I was in front of him, in the first row. He played for 70 minutes and he did it well! I love the distorsion he use (the purple pedal), and the long solos were warm. Also, his singing was almost flawless.

              I didn’t recognize any song but Just Like Heaven. Yeah, I don’t know his songs very well. :)

              I recorded the entire show. I didn’t ask for a sounboard patch, it was very far from the stage, and I wanted to enjoy the show. So I recorded from the audience. The quality seems OK, I have to check it better. Maybe with a little equalizing it could be come out great. Also, my friend made a lot of pics and took a pick :)

              I have a question: what’s the white pedal? It has written "chorus", and it’s full of lights, but he never used it… maybe it was always active?

                    hi oomingmak … well, i was searching for an answer to your chorus pedal question in the hopes that i would find a website that described the chorus pedal sound — sadly i couldn’t find one that wasn’t super technical ! but i did find this site which has loads of info on all sorts of chorus pedals + when i selected the electro harmonix pedal it came up w/a very cool visual layout of j’s gear when he was in dinosaur jr 8) 8) … click on the box next to his name that says "go"… also, at the very bottom of the page are links to all the other chorus pedals + there are A LOT !!!

                      But a friend told me that the pedal is just a chromatic tuner. I read wrong. :)

                      I posted the pics in the album. They need to be authorized to be shown? If you can’t wait, you can see them here

                      Maybe later I’ll put a sample mp3 of the recording. It come out pretty well. :D

                        That doesn’t say "Chorus", it says "Chromatic Tuner"… I know, I have one. :wink:
