My only contact with them was at the same Lollapalosa i found J at, and all i remember about their set was repitition, but now that i muse on it, i remember how different i was back in those days, i hadn’t yet accepted techno as a music form and was still quite straight edge, not that the two have anything to do with each other, comedy central and i’m off, probably should give them another try…
December 29, 2003 at 2:04 pm #97929Good question about Front 242…. Picked up a Front 242 compilation from a second-hand bin (for next to nothing), and was surprised by how fresh it sounded (although not all of it has survived the test of time….) My memory of them is not unlike yours, saw them live on a festival doing their camouflaged military electro-act, and I thought they were loud and boring…. I was there for GUITARS!
and there were lots of guitars there: Ride, Dinosaur Jr., Nirvana, Sonic Youth & the Ramones, we’re talking about Pukkelpop 1991 here….
