Have the suggested albums gotten any airtime over the weekend?
                      If so, what’s your verdict?

                        My verdict: :)
                        Mysteries Of Life-dull
Sloan-good,has some great tunes plus the liner notes are written by a guy who used to do a radio show here and the pics of the band were taken by a girl who also did a cool radio show that played Dinosaur Jr alot
Mudhoney-ok,but I think this album is overated
Kids Sdtrk-good,cool to hear Lou Barlow`s voice over funky beats 8)

I have`nt listened to the Inbreds or SY yet but I`ll get to them soon :)

Hey SG, my version of Sloan’s ‘One chord…’ came out of a bargain bin, and includes a bonus disc ‘recorded live at a Sloan party’, containing a lot of covers (Jonathan Richman, Roxy Music, and a very cool medley of Canned Heat’s ‘Going up thr Country’ and ‘Transonia Five’ from Stereolab 8) 8) 8) ), do you have that bonus disc as well?

No,the bonus disc version came out a year or so after the original release.I got the original in a used store, probably someone who bought the bonus disc version and had the same cd twice.

SY’s – Confusion is sex (great cover of The Stooges – I wanna be your dog)
Thurton Moore’s – Psychic Hearts is GRRRRRREAT!!!
Liked L7’s Hungry for Stink – not sure about Beauty Process:Triple Platinum but would love to try it
