        Cool mix :D

Venus by Television is such a great song, makes me wonder why no one covers it :? Father To A Sister Of Thought by Pavement is one of the best songs off of Wowee Zowee I think.Heroin by the VU is one of the best songs ever written,it`s more about a story of a drug addict,it`s how he sees himself in the world and "politicians making vicious sounds and all the dead bodies piled up in mounds" is not a dated lyric.

Was thinking the exact same thing the other day!

Yeah, that song has such an extreme power, both in terms of the melody and lyrics. I have the most wonderfull VU bootleg(Le Bataclan 72,) with their(Reed, Cale, Nico) last performance together + some rehearsals. Their performance of Heroin is perhaps the most spinechilling 7 minutes and 17 seconds that’s ever been captured on tape.
I’ve always dreamt of a "Hand It Over era" cover of Heroin.

True. BUT, when has that stopped people from trying? :D

…Unfortunately that attitude has resulted in atrocities like Britney Spears covering Pat Benatar’s :P  "I love rock’n’roll", and Limp Bizkit ruining the Who’s "Behind blue eyes" , some songs are better left untouched……
