Don’t buy into the whole overpriced manufactured holiday deal, roses I could get for twenty bucks yesterday are fifty today
But, its a good enuf reason to go out & drink way to much, hope you all have a real cool time

Valentines day hasn’t got that much tradition here in Germany (like Halloween) but the greeting cards industry tries hard to market it.
One of the better Valentines day greeting cards I found:

… but this year — at least in london — the over-commerciality (is that a word ?) of valentine’s day has really outdone any years gone by … + they’ve already started to roll out the easter stuff + when i went into boots (the chemist) this afternoon, they’re flogging vouchers to help you start saving for xmas !! i mean, what the heck is that all about ? 
…but … back to valentine’s day … my husband + i did have a good giggle at all the teenagers out on dates … holding hands + acting like total goofs … awww …
i like valentines day, really suppost to be about st. valentine, he wrote a bunch of letters from jail. I used to try to write letters to friends on this day but this year i got wasted and tried to find love and lost but still havd fun so alls well…
