from J… re: Bob
(Saturday March, 6)
Bob the dog died today. He was born in Tacoma WA on June 15th 1996. I hope everyone will pray for Bob. He loved people and especially loved a party. Ialways heard 8 was the normal life expectancy of Bulldogs, but somehow I thought Bob would live longer. Bye Bob see ya later buddyMarch 10, 2004 at 7:12 am #100646

As strange as it may sound for people who hasn’t had a dog, loosing one is like loosing a family member. So this is sad news indeed.

All my best to J & Luisa as well, know how hard losing a pet can be. Bob definitely sounded special, love J’s description of him-‘He loved people and especially loved a party’

R.I.P. bob you shall be missedMarch 11, 2004 at 3:36 am #100659My beautiful and much loved dog Cassie died recently in my arms at the particularly shit timing of a funeral scene in Six Feet Under. Just what you want to see when you are trying to internalise your grief! She was 13, but it was not old enough. i think you lull yourself into thinking that your Dog will prove the statistics wrong, and when it doesn’t happen, it breaks your heart. The purity of the selfless love and devotion of a dog is something that leaves a hole in your life exactly as if a family member has died. i hope that Bob and Cassie are chasing things together on a higher plain. Man.
