What’s up all. I was just wondering if anyone else around the sight was a fan of Sigur Ros. They are from Iceland and sing in an ancient Icelandic tongue, from what I gather. Despite not understanding what they are saying (hey, that kind of reminds me of another one of my favorite artists!) the music is amazing. If anyone’s ever seen Vanilla Sky, Sigur Ros has 3 songs throughout it, the most noticeable and beautiful in my opinion being at the end when Tom Cruise decides to jump off the building.
Anyway, if you get the chance to either hear or see them, I would suggest to definitely take the opportunity. I saw them last July in Atlanta and was completely mesmerized the whole show. I think the genre they are grouped in is called ambient music. The closest band I can think of to them is Radiohead, in the experimental sense that they explore. Actually, Sigur Ros was picked up by Radiohead to open for them on some tour way back.
Like I said, have a listen and see what you guys think. Other than J, Sigur Ros is definitely one of my favorite listens.hey djm409, I’ve been listening to them last year quite a lot, and I liked especially their album ()

😀I like Sigur Ros too. There is also another band from Island called MUM, it sounds quite the same as Sigur Ros.
I like Sigur Ros a lot, fuckin’ really trippy soundscapes with a made up speaking in tongues language. The grey CD sometimes makes me want to cry.
