      ROUGH TRADE are to release a new ‘indiepop’ compilation in August featuring bands including PRIMAL SCREAM, THE WEDDING PRESENT and THE VASELINES.

      ‘Rough Trade Shops: Indiepop 1’ will be released by Mute on August 23, and is the eighth in a series of compilations released by Rough Trade.

      The album features many bands currently namechecked by artists such as Franz Ferdinand, including Josef K and Beat Happening.

      The album will be preceded by a 7" single, which will feature four tracks from Juniper Moon, Aberfeldy, Primal Scream, and Josef K.
