      the borough i live in in london has a fantastic library system + every month they feature a different band or a genre of music …

      the other day my husband + i were @ one of our local libraries + to our surprise the featured music this month is grunge 8) … so they had a info sheet on grunge + what it is + how is started + also they had a load of CDs to rent … like dinosaur jr – bug + where you been, sebadoh – the sebadoh, husker du – zen arcade, sonic youth – goo + well, lots more … :D :D :D

      now, that’s what i call public money well spent :wink: :aliensmile:

        My local library had Green Mind labeled as Children`s 8) well,you got to start `em young on Dino :) :aliensmile:
        Someone used to put notes on the library cd`s like for Eric`s Trip:THEY ROCK MY WORLD! :mrgreen: or for Jale:THESE CHICKS ROCK! :D I found plenty of good music at the library for sure,I still have my taped copies of Husker Du`s New Day Rising and Candy Apple Grey :aliensmile:

          Every library in the local system has an area they stock up on a bit better than others. One has a huge Parent/Teacher resource area, another has a big local history section, the one I work at has a big audiobook section. And one picks up more recent CD releases. Someboy at the CD one has good taste, as they have Guided by Voices, Yo La Tengo, several Flaming Lips, The Breeders, Dinosaur Jr. . . . .
