Well, I wanted to let everyone know that now over 1000 young Americans have died in Iraq. Only God knows how non-Americans have been killed in Iraq. These young Americans ARE NOT FIGHTING FOR MY FREEDOM, come on WAKE UP AMERICA !

So, the US election day is here shortly and for some unintelligible reason it looks like a smug self-righteous clown driven by religious and ideological fanatism has a good chance of having it go his way again. Well, the world is full of politicians that are smug self-righteous clowns, but as this particular clown is claiming that "I believe It is our duty to lead the world", thereby making him the self-proclaimed leader of this planet – which just so happens to be my planet too – I feel it is my duty to express my utmost disgust at the thought of him leading anything as much as my dirty underwear to the washing machine.

Today i read in the news that the law of not having big guns(machineguns?) for private people has been turned off. NRA is happy about it and NRA is sponsoring G. W. Bushs re-election campaign with 20 000 00$… The American congress(that is full of republicans, by the way..) didn’t research that deal before making the decision.

in Athens we have a nice Friends or "Quaker" group, the Friends are are followers of Christ and are anti-war.
Catholics are anti-war (as it is not pro-life, causes death etc.)
some other anglo christian churches are also outspoken anti-war like the 7th day adventist, they as you may know are also vegetarian. So as Maxini said "Bush is driven by religion" I have to disagree, he has many who call themselves followers of Christ but who still fall into the old Paradigm of "Fear" Christ tried to show the way of no fear. Look at his death on the cross. If you are a fear based person then you will be wanting to buy an assult weapon to protect your family from the Arabs. Which is where many Americans have their "mind set" A good test for a true Christian is to see if they are pro-war, one can’t be pro-war and also pro-Christ, it just doesn’t work. Bush can screw with Christian ideas to warp his position, like gay marriage, I am against gay-marriage, I am not against anything gay, I mean, I have a few great moments with other women myself
, but we don’t call this union a marriage, if we need laws to protect gay couples with mutal real estate holdings or life insurance than we need those kinds of law, but don’t call this a marriage. It is not only many Christians who are dim-witted, it is just as many other Americans who have never sat down, turned inward and prayed. We all need to enlighten ourselves, many people on this planet are just stupid, I am 1/2 stupid so I speak from experience. Hey and while Kerry is cool, he’s no knockout, but money will rule if we don’t nip this in the bud.

I said driven by religious fanatism and I meant it seriously. I remember seeing some tv documentary about Bush from the time before the 2000 election when he was up against Al Gore. In an interview made while he was the governor of Texas, the issue of reviewing death sentences came up and the interviewer asked Bush whether he, after signing a death warrent, ever had any doubts that he had made the right decision . Bush reply was that once his decision was made, he trusted that God had helped him make the right one and thus he never needed to lose any sleep over it.

I am not sure but I think you mean fanaticism, and if George was a religious fanatic then he would not have been elected. Religious fanatics are not trusted by most Americans. Again, he uses religion, his own brand, so that he appears to be a spiritual person.
Any true follower of Christ would need to be against the death penalty. What part of Thou shall not kill does he not understand?Most Americans are not spiritual people, they practice "fast food spirituality" Go to church for one hour on Sunday, throw a little money in the basket, let others see them doing it then go home to their televisions and other pleasures.
If you study any kind of power tripping people many of them have said that "God" is guideing them. Only the stupid would refuse to question that. I ask God for guidance each day before I walk away from my bed, God has never told me it would be a good idea to put someone to death.no matter how you view "true christians," which I really think lies in the eye of the beholder, since there’s so many different followings in christianity, there’s no denying that there’s a powerfull lobby of republican christians that influences the politics of Bush/the Bush administration.

You know what I mean?
We have many christian groups who are backing Kerry, as I said before, many Catholics, Friends, 7th day adventist, Lutherens, Presbyterians and of course Unitarians (not the Mooneys BTW) are for the most part pro-Kerry. The Republican Christian lobby is powerful because of money not because of a stand on religion.
