sorry if this has been discussed before but
while i was searching j + dino stuff on e-bay i came across this
      http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi … 05853&rd=1

it’s a Peter Tosh Tribute album with J + the Fog covering
      "Lessons In My Life"

I didn’t find any info on the Keeblin’ discography
and was just wondering what this is, if it’s official and what
      the song sounds like

also, I came across a poster for a show on 03/20/04 in Austin, TX
with J performing (i think solo) at the 8th annual High Times festival
      or something weird like that.
I didn’t have the date in my chronology and was looking for
any information about it, preferrably a setlist

      thanks

        very interesting find

about one year ago, we have heard about Tosh tribute album plans with J involved, but then it looked like it never happened…

here’s the topic we had about it: j on a peter tosh tribute album ?

…so, one could say, the J song on there is… very rare…

Been hoping that disc would eventually get released, might have to bid on it :!:

Here’s a review of the High Times show J played at SXSW in 2004, no set list or much on J, pleasing picture though…

          J Mascis @ SXSW 2004…

This is the special advance preview EP with exclusive tracks. They were going to press 500, but ended up only doing 100. (I’d say that’s a limited editon!) You can get this from the official website. I ordered it last week. Michael told me that 6 copies were left through the site. Only about 25-30 are left …period. I think they are trying to get rid of the rest on ebay. They need to raise money to complete the album.

This is for a good cause. Check out the site to see some pics of Peter’s mausoleum.

"The Peter Tosh Tribute Album is being produced to renovate Tosh’s mausoleum in Belmont, Jamaica. Profits from the album will also be used to complete the Peter Tosh museum as well as construct a clinic and library in Belmont."

Anyway the cool thing is that Michael Mallot (Director of the project), went after J personally to get him involved in this project. It turns out he has been a big J fan forever! He told me the story how he met J in NOLA etc. etc.
            (Could it have been fate?)

They even have that pic on the site of J with his Deep Wound sweater on!
