(Not sure if this is already posted, couldn’t find it anywhere …)

I checked out the Japanese label’s site that’s handling the
reissues over there. Found a couple treats, including a
Minor Threat cover. Whoo-hoo:

Before the internet, hunting down Dinosaur imports and rare
singles was a more involved experience. Now, a couple clicks
gets you the goods in moments.

Now all I gotta find is a ? to $ translator.
Anyone?

yes, I’m gonna buy the japanese versions when they are released…they sell for 2520 yen which should be around 15-16 dollars

2520 yen actually translates into roughly $23-$24. 100 yen is basically equivalent to a dollar these days.

well, I actually converted yen to euro ( my currency ) and then euro to dollars…and since euro is very strong these days vs the dollar, it’s like I’m paying less than you…in other words, to me is more convenient to buy japanese stuff that it is for you…or something…

sorry, I messed up with the math, you are right….still, for "us" europeans, japanese cd’s are sort of cheaper because cd’s in europe are more expensive than in the Us…

Thanks for the info, looks like a must have for me as well.

Wonder if they’ll come with lyrics, most of Pony Canyons J Mascis releases have had lyrics included…

Yeah, cds in Europe are outrageously expensive, and maybe even worse in the UK when judged according to "dollar standards." I’m surprised more folks in the UK don’t mail order their cds from the States — even with higher shipping charges they’d still save quite a bit. That’s the reason Japanese cds always have killer bonus tracks, as they’re so expensive even in Japan that the Japanese labels have to do something to encourage people in their own country to buy them rather than order US cds for much less.

If they do, settle the Breathes, Breeds, Breeves arguement about the lyrics to ‘The Lung’. Actually, maybe it’s better if we never know….
