Thoughts on the Dinosaur (they’ll always be Dinosaur to us) reunion:

      1. It was neither stiff nor clinical because, y’know, J. wails. Especially on "Sludgefeast" and "The Lung."

      2. That said, the show’s more fun when Lou sings. Because he has, y’know, a personality.

      3. That said, bring back Mike Johnson. OK, not really — but a few songs from Green Mind and Where You Been actually would have been okay.

      4. As Jason’s boss was quick to note, J. in middle age is like Neil meets Daniel Johnston meets Gandalf.

Ahhhhhh . . . nothing like a hot summer afternoon, a venti Mint Mocha Chip Frappucino and — FUCKING HELL MAKE IT STOP MAKE IT STOP MAKE IT STOP — the acoustic version of "Hand in Pocket."

That’s funny as shit, though. The NY Times review of the Central Park show, with color photo of J and his Gandalf hair, ran just below a color ad for the latest Harry Potter book, complete with grey-haired wizard. A friend who’d just seen them in Boston the night before pointed to the J photo and uttered: "Hairy Pothead."
