If this is really going to be the last show, i think its safe to say the band will probably pull off something new or different to leave a lasting impression on the end. It just makes sense, especially this is almost a home town gig considering how close it is.

I think it would be awesome and fitting if they did a live version of Don’t at the middle east. I mean its the one song they haven’t done on this tour and it’s also the last track on bug. It would make complete sense to end with a show stopping version of it. Can you imagine being in the crowd when J hits those first few chords and you see all these pedals being brought out. It’d be crazy. I’d be so ecstatic to be in the crowd to see it.It would also put a final nail in the whole J/lou fight thing to do a version of it together as the last song played on the reunion tour.

      A man can dream…….

what do you think dino jr might pull off as a surprise as an encore at the show in cambridge to mix things up ?

since i’m a leftcoaster i’m hopin they pull out all the stops for the shows in ny for that dvd they promise.
and i kinda doubt that cambridge show will be their last…like Lou said he has to ‘surrender to the power’ or whatever he said… :)

They did play "Don’t" at the Summer shows. At least at the show at Koko in London – the last date of the summer shows.

I predict that it won’t be their last show ;) Eventually my dreams will come true and they’ll play in CT again :o

It seems like their history as a band was kind of short as it was in the 80’s and now it seems like they’re just getting started. It would cool if they decided to keep their respective other bands together as well as Dinosaur Jr. Then they could tour every now and then and even expand their songs they play live.

I hope it’s not the last show, yet at the same time I want J to get back on the road with the Schools/Spence Fog. I miss those tunes, and the looser, more expansive feel of those shows.

I guess that’s exactly what is going to happen – After these shows J will probably go back to work on new Fog stuff, Lou will construct his home-studio (like he recently mentioned on his site), new Loobiecore stuff, new Sebadoh, a Sebadoh reunion (I am pretty sure about that !), and every once in a while they get Dinosaur going again… and, in the far away future, a new Dinosaur record… wonderful ::)

Agree completely, looking forward to some new J & The Fog stuff, have a faint memory of news that said he had recorded some songs already, that was several months ago though. The Witch project should be pleasing, single coming out soon, hope someone videos the shows!

Fingers crossed they keep the Dino Jr going here & there-another Canadian show would be nice ;) -but yeah, would love to get my ears blown out by another J & The Fog show, hoping Kyle Spence will still be on drums!!!
