      Any Bukowski fans out there? I’m a writer and he’s my biggest influence.

        Bukowskit the only beat to have nothing to do whith the beat generation. I’ve heard Ham On Rye is amazing, if I have the title correct. I wonder have you ever read any Kerouac, or Vonnegut? Two of the most amazing writers of all time

          I think "Women" is a great book. It’s on my top ten list of best books I ‘ve ever read

            I read On The Road, not much Vonnegut though. Buk’s Ham On Rye is one of my favorite books of all time.

            I think similarities can be drawn between some of J’s lyrics & some of Buk’s poetry.

              I think Tom Waits is somewhat influenced by Bukovski as well. Did you see the movie Barfly with Mickey Roorke (an old movie that captured the Bukovski atmosphere pretty good)

                Yeah, Buk wrote the screenplay to Barfly, it was semi-autobiographical
