So, I work at a used CD store and today we got a box from our warehouse marked "Collectibles." Most of it was pure junk, but my friend handed my a Dinosaur Jr. CD (which I bought) entitled "JayLouMurph." It was released by a label called Hipdisc. It is a live recording in NYC for some radio station. Anyone ever hear of this? Is it worth anything? I hate paying more than $10 for a CD, so I want to feel like I got my money’s worth.

edit: i am listening to it right now and it is awesome… i am enjoying it more than the bbc sessions.

It is a great ‘semi-official’ bootleg recording. It is hard to find at times but you can usually find it on http://www.gemm.com (which is a HUGE collection of independent record stores)

          * one seller currently has it for $11.69. I love that place :)

ps – if any of you know owners of mom + pop record shops or own one yourself, you should consider extending your sales into that site. Even if you have an online store already. I hate seeing so many of these places dying. We just lost Repo Records in Charlotte and just barely kept Manifest Records (thanks to new owners).

thanks! I really appreciate it. I’m gonna check out that website. I’m trying to track down a few other "semi-official" bootlegs that I saw listed on a couple of places.
