since I’m new here, and everyone is obviosly a Dino/J fan I am wondering if there are any Sebadoh fans on the board.
I am a big fan of all things Lou and Sebadoh (in addition to being a Dino fan). so, if you are a fan: fav. album(s), song(s), whatever.
I am pretty attached to III and Bakesale myself.

I like Sebadoh alot, though I like Dinosaur alot better…the early stuff was really raw and agressive and interesting at the same time. I have III, Bubble and Scrape, and the Freed Weed. All great stuff.

When I first got into Sebadoh,I did`nt know any of their names so I did`nt know it was Lou from Dino Jr :D I soon found out a few months later.A girl at the local college station had an advanced copy of Bubble And Scrape that she played on air one night in March `93,months before it came out(this same girl directed the Ocean video years later so I assume the advanced copy came from Lou ;)).In `94 I bought Bubble And Scrape,Smash Your Head…,Bakesale, and Lou`s And His Sentridoh compilation so it was a big Sebadoh year for me.My fave album is Bakesale. It just never fails to please me :) I was not too impressed with Harmacy.Sebadoh III I was not too into either though I`m ready to give it another try.Still don`t have the first two albums or the last one.

I like Sebadoh. I own Bubble and Scrape, Bakesale (my favorite), Harmacy and The Sebadoh. I need to own III but haven’t gotten around to buying it yet. I like most of what Lou does solo, Folk Implosion, whatever but Sebadoh is my favorite of his post-dino stuff.

I recently started listening to sebadoh and I really like them so far. I’ve got Bakesale and Harmacy and I like them both about same. I’d like to get some more albums but the shops around me never have any. I think my favorite songs so far are Not Too Amused, Crystal Gypsy, Sforzando and Hillbilly 2

sebadoh is amazing. when i was younger i was obsessed with bakesale, had III but never listened to it, just didnt understand it back then i guess. had harmacy and bubble and scrape but only liked a few songs back then. later in high school III hit me hard and i listened to it compulsively and its now one of my favorite albums ever.

bubble and scrape is beyond amazing as well. jake and erics songs rock so hard and lou’s are just beautiful as shit.

harmacy is also a really flawless/awesome album. looove hillbilly II/zone doubt.

love them most of the time. i own freed weed, III and bubble and scrape. i’ve heard smash your head but didn’t like it that much – poorly produced (obviously but more so than the others), too much whining, not enough eric songs. the "schizo" nature of a good sebadoh record came to full fruition on bubble and scrape, without question. III is great too, but seamless in a way (which is either a good or a bad thing depending on who you are) and freed weed is great too. it’s basically lou’s diary on tape with some stellar eric songs…the last time eric would write ’em like that.

Saw Sebadoh live around the time of Bakesale and enjoyed the hell out of it. I only have recordings to rely on when it comes to Dinosaur, so I have no base of comparison. Soon, soon…

i’ve only heard Harmacy, III, and Bakesale. III and Bakesale are fucking great. Harmacy is pretty good.

BIGGEST Sebadoh fan on the planet here… ;D Whenever they play here I try to follow them around for as many shows as possible (well, same goes for Lou/Dino/J shows and any other "Sebadoh/Dino-Family" members). I even enter airplanes and fly to shows (I am scared of flying !)… :)
Favourite albums ? Bubble And Scrape/III/Freed Man/Bakesale/The Sebadoh (that one IS good, no matter how un-lo-fi it is… ;) )

I love The Freed Man and Weed Forestin’ just so very, very much .The greatest so-called lo-fi ever.
I remember getting both pretty much the moment they came out ‘cos I wanted more Poledo which these LPs sort of are (to make a massive generalisation). So I obviously rate Original Losing Losers and Winning Losers and all that Acoustic Sentridoh stuff in a similar vein. Sebadoh III was my very first Cd actually. It was only available on import CD in the UK for a short while. I didn’t actually own a CD player when I got it :D
I saw them at what I think was their first UK show, which was great. One thing really sticks in my mind about this show.
Lou (to audience): Well, am I as good as J?
                                Audience member #1: No!
                                Audience member #2: J who?
                                Lou(dryly): J-Christ.
                                Priceless.

I kind of dropped Sebadoh after Harmacy. Which I feel sort of dumbly guilty about. I thing I’m actually gonna try and pick up all the later Lou stuff that I’ve missed out on.

Bubble and Scrape is my fav album, the later stuff was not bad but a bit more dull in comparison.
