With my sister this weekend and had the chance to see a copy of Iconoclast. The Mario Batali on Michael Stipe episode. I had fun and especially enjoyed watching michael buying music for Mario to play in one of his restaurants. Michael is with the clerk and is thinking out loud "What is the name of that great band from Athens" "Oh, yeah………………Do you have any Neutral Milk Hotel?" Also, for any locals, enjoyed seeing Hassan Lemtouni (Marakeesh Express) sitting in the orange shirt next to micheal during the "vegan" dinner party. I did want to say something out loud…………….Michael at one point said it is very difficult to come to back to Athens after touring because the conversations his friends and family have seem so BORING……..
I thought, Gee, maybe because the conversations aren’t directed at and don’t center around You, Michael Stipe, but overall I liked it.

Good question, Scott Spillane was my next door neighbor during the hey-day. Funny, I didn’t enjoy the music so much and didn’t give it much more of a listen. Then several months after my first listen, I was at a friends house and heard this cool music, I asked "whats that" , he said "neutral milk hotel" It’s like the music sounded "cooler" in someone elses house. I brought a copy back to my house and have liked it ever since. I never see Scott (big bearded guy) or his sweet wife in Athens anymore, someone said they were in NC. I want to type more but Little Alvaro just made a huge mess in the kitchen, Oh Lord, give me help………………………….

While, the gerbils above, make me feel like I want to jump up and down on my bed and throw things at anyone who enters my room and then invite them up on my bed to do the same.

Olivia Tremor Control were a great band.Anyone into the Magical Mystery Tour era Beatles and Pet Sounds era Beach Boys should dig these guys.

many of the videos from that nmh link, but I have the next few days (and weekend off) Whoo hoo!!!
I have seen youtube on myspace sites but I still have no idea what it is. You don’t really have to answer
SG ’cause I plan to try and investigate it on my own.Youtube is a site where people can upload videos. I don’t know how much longer its going to last. There’s a big uproar about copyrighted material, and intellectual property.
