1) Gretsch duo jet (6128T-1957)
2) Fender Stratocaster
3) Epiphone Riviera (the firebird red-one)
4) Gretsch tennesee rose ( the dark-one 1962HT)
5) Rickenbacker 325June 1, 2006 at 3:42 pm #117919I’m quite fond of the Ace Frehley Signiture Series Les Paul (the really nice Gibson one, not the Epiphones), and Fender Jazzmasters and Jaguars. I also like the American Standrad Tele too.
June 1, 2006 at 3:56 pm #117920Stratocasters are good, I like my customized Yamaha strat copy alot. Mustangs, Jazzmasters, etc are all cool too, and I like those old garagey weird guitars like Teisco, Univox, Guyatone.
I’m not a big fan of Gibsons or those "metal" brands like PRS, ESP, whatever. Also I think alot of guitars don’t look good in black.
June 1, 2006 at 4:36 pm #117921I really like fenders in general but the jazzmasters and jaguars are my favorites, I like the gibson firebirds and I love my SG.
An Ibanez was my first decent guitar I bought and I’ve always liked them, I don’t like BC Rich’s though, too many ugly shapes and cheesy finishes

I recently saw Neko Case playing a Gibson SG costumed to 4 string!! Can you believe that??
June 1, 2006 at 5:09 pm #117923Fender Jazzmasters, Jaguars, Telecasters, Mustangs. Gibson SGs.
Travis Bean 1000A models are good, too.
i’m more about the tone of guitars, not the look. i hate most ESP guitars.
June 1, 2006 at 10:00 pm #117924I love Tele’s… and, of course, my favorites are the ones I build myself… but beyond that, here’s some guitars I’ve played that really left an impression on me:
1. Hofner 4600 (1968)
2. Fender Tele-Sonic
3. Suhr Classic T (the Tele perfected!)
4. Eastwood Ichiban
5. Tokai Loverock (a Les Paul copy that blows away any Gibson I’ve ever played)
6. Rickenbacker 330
7. Guild Starfire IVJune 2, 2006 at 11:58 am #117925I am just now beginning to appreciate a "nicer" (whatever) guitar every now and then. For the most part my favorites are Strats, then my ’67 V RI. I also build guitars RST, and I agree, those are some good ones…..or we wouldn’t build them. Even though my wood supply comes from Lowes because I like the sound of a plywood beast. I think it’s fun to play these guitars and have metal head, plywood – cheap guitar haters tell me that this thing rocks and Im all, yeah…the body is Baltic Birch Ply, Red Oak neck, and a Poplar fingerboard. Heheheheheeh.
so I guess a list of the top ten would be:
1. my Stratocasters
2. my 1967 Flying V RI
3. my 1974 Mustang
4. my 1987 Martin D-2832
5. my Telecaster (after it goes through its transformation).
6. my 1971 Univox Hyflier
7. my Jagmaster (shut up….I LOVE Squier!) hehe
8. Ibanez Jem (one of two Ibeenhads that I would own).
9. Ibanez RG350DX (the other of the two).
10. my 197? Cortez Les Paul (modded by me).

I should have included on my list the Carvin SC90S. Very nice guitar. The only thing I didn’t care for on the one I played was the ebony fretboard, but I understand that you can now get them with rosewood, which wasn’t available before.
June 2, 2006 at 6:43 pm #117928yeah, the eastwoods are cool looking, never played one either though. The Wilson Bros. clone is also nice. GPC has some nice ones as well. Never played any of these though. I have only played one Carvin in my life and I hated it. It wasn’t a Fat Boy or whatever (the Allan Holdsworth guitar) I don’t think, it may have actually been a custom SC90S. The neck was like a mile thick and the finish was way sticky (on the neck….sliding your hand fast down the neck was no option) but I think it may have been kind of older too though…maybe it needed to be cleaned. It looked nice though, green quilted top. What’s up with the Bunny Bass? I hate it I think.
June 11, 2006 at 1:04 pm #117929gretsch 6162(i think thats the grand country western, ya know the one eddie uses)
mosrites of any year
burns batwings
jazzmasters
’55 strats
and any telecaster with a b-5 on it.June 11, 2006 at 1:32 pm #117930My friend got a really cool blue Squier Supersonic recently. I’m jealous.
June 11, 2006 at 2:02 pm #117931BASTRIDGE!!! I want one of those. I don’t like any of the other colors though…has to be blue. I’ll get one someday. Does anyone here remember the Blue Flake Ibanez guitars? I thought those were pretty kool…..however, if they were a different color….then no.
