Amusement Parks On Fire – Out of the Angeles
If you like My Bloody Valentine, check this, you won’t be disappointed, my guess is that you will be very impressed… 8)

      Dub Trio – New Heavy
amazing mix of hardcore and very heavy dub reggae, wit Mike Patton as guest singer on one track

Mike Johnson – Gone out of your mind
New album from ex-Dinosaur Jr. bassplayer, much harder than some of his previous albums, with quite dark lyrics, highly recommended for people who like Mark Lanegan / Screaming Trees….

          Ladyhawk – Ladyhawk
From Canada, (heavily) influenced by Neil Young, Dinosaur Jr., the Replacements to name but a few, if you like your guitars loud & distorted, check them out….

…was working on this one when my net-connection got rudely kicked out of action yesterday, now temporarily back in action via an old & rusty telephone line… ::) ??? >:(

            Sereena-Maneesh
…somehow My Bloody Valentine are back in vogue again, these Norwegians like their multi-multi-multi-tracked guitars loud & distorted, their vocals dreamy & mixed-back, with occasional excursions into fuzzy garagerock & krautrock a la Neu, interesting to say the least….

Waterloo – Out of the woods
Their third album already, and nobody except dB seems to notice them… Beautiful songs, slightly more focused than Pavement, slightly less experimental than modern-day Wilco, and Waterloo-boss Mark Ray has one of those Jeff Tweedy-like voices that suits those songs perfectly, dB’s album of the year thus far…..

                the Sammies – the Sammies
…quite dumb name, quite good band, they describe themselves as a mix of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pavement & MC5, I would like to add early REM, the Clash & ‘Boy’-like U2 to that mix, you have heard it all before, but it’s lots of fun, they can write a decent tune or two…. (album is produced by John Agnello by the way)

the Early Years – the Early Years
If you like the Secret Machines, check this one, loud guitars, driven along by a Neu! like motorik beat, but also some beautiful quieter moments, according to themselves they are influenced by Neu!, Can, Velvet Underground, Acid Mother’s Temple, Mogwai and Television….

                    Silversun Pickups – Carnavas
Cross My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, the Smashing Pumpkins and some other stuff and what do you get? Lots of guitars, cool songs and an even cooler female bass player…. 8) ;) ;D
                    dB says: highly recommended!

I wonder where Bucky is now?

His talking about The Walkabouts and Maria McKee got me to become a fan
