I just got the Danelectro Fab Flange Pedal (cheap, $15 pedal) and I have no idea how to use it. I’m really not sure how a flange pedal is supposed to sound, but I think I’ve got it set right. For awhile, it just sounded like the chorus pedal, but I messed with the knobs for a little bit until I got it sounding better.

I don’t have numbers for the knobs, but there are three (Regen, Speed, Depth). If you could give me a general area of where the knobs should be set to get a basic flange tone, it would be a lot of help.

dont have that flanger but here are my settings:
        feedback(regeneration)-100%
        rate(speed)-0%
        width(depth?)-100%
        see what happens and experiment…

whats the point of buying a pedal if you dont know how to use it> ::)

flangers are awesome tools. you can ad just a little bit of depth and rate in it for soloing like neil young does in some songs.
