As for the connection of bird flu and social disruption (ie the shortage of food,water,gas,health care,government services ie.food stamps,welfare,social security checks,medicare payments ect.)

We only need to go back into history, I had the best history teacher in the 11th grade, her name was Mrs. Hotel, that was really her name, the first day of class she taught us a lesson and she spent the whole first day on it and then repeated it through out the year………..needless to say by the end of the year, I understood it………………HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF……………………………….

Why the economic and social disruption, because folks will be scared to death to leave their house and go to work if a virus is floating around with an 80% death rate. In fact the government plan to halt the spread is to stay home, they plan to ask all of us to stay home, unless your job is of critical importance, ie. police, fire,doctor. I am sure gas station attendant will NOT be considered a critical job, you will be arrested if the break quarantine, the last place you want to be during an outbreak is in jail. The government has plenty of gas don’t worry,fire trucks and police cars do not gas up at the local BP. Extra supplies of gas have already been stocked by most cities. Government offices and schools will be the first to close,No place to send your children for the day, no welfare checks, no foodstamps, no social security checks, for a few months, then come the gangs like New Orleans, the ones shooting at the police helicopters,breaking into stores, yes, now we remember, it seems so long ago, , really people could not believe people breaking into gun stores and stealing guns and ammo, but the reason was because when you have a baby with out diapers (I use cloth, unless I’m on vacation, so I never run out of diapers but…………) you have a baby with out a diaper, no formula, because Mom chose not to breast feed, so baby is hungry and dirty, no water to drink, and you go CRAZY, it’s normal, you go nuts, unless you have plenty of water,food,diapers,etc……

The government site says………………social disruption will be great due to expected forced quarantine. Critical workers not under quarantine may be absent from work because of fear and/or sickness. That’s the Gas shortage part.

Really, I am the most unparanoid person, so relaxed about the world, I have insider information about police emergency preparation plans which have started to go into place, and my husbands older brother is a poulty virus expert and runs a training lab through the University of Georgia here near Athens. There are grown men with the title Dr. in front of their names who are scared crapless.
