Magik Markers East Coast live:

I think I’ll be busy watching paint dry and having my fingernails removed with needle-nose pliers all those nights, and enjoying myself much much more than if I had gone to see the Markers.

I admire Kracked for standing up for something he knows is not the most popular thing to do, especially around here.
When he posted that I think he knew how most of us felt about the markers.
I saw a great video from my other hero Robert Anton Wilson and I was reminded of falling back to e-prime,
So the correct thing for us to think and say Tubby is the Markers don’t do it for us but we understand that they do do it for Pete.If you have time Robert gets a lot of the idea of E-prime across in the first two minutes of this video.

hahaha, I’m gonna check them out at the Nightmare before X-Mas Festival, J will be there so it would be cool if he joined them as the mascis markers. I don’t know what to expect from them though, I’m pretty open when it comes to noise music
somebody please enlighten this norwegian ignoramus, what´s the deal with this band ? Seems there´s either a love or hate thing, not somewhere inbetween.

Anthony, this is why I don’t have a band, because this is exactly how it would sound.
My husband, the oracle of Delphi says "I like the band because I like girls…………Is that a girl?" "I like girls"
The reason I don’t like the Magik Markers is because they’re just unremarkable. What they do, anyone can do. Bands like Wolf Eyes, Hair Police, Kites, Neon Hunk, etc. are still doing something original and making interesting music. People have been doing what the Magik Markers are doing since forever, and anyone can do it.
i think youre all wrong. it has nothing to do with what anyone else can do. it has nothing to do with girls. they’re doing it. they’re performing, theyre making magik.
why arent you performing?
theyre beautiful people too, inside. talk to them, maybe that will change your view. if not, at least you might have the respect to not leave comments such as "they suck" and whatnot.
I’ve seen them live and I’ve seen a bunch of their videos before, and that seems to be the theme of their sets: get in an arguement with the audience and they fall back on "why aren’t you up here?"
But I mean, I’m in a band. I play shows. Lots of people are. I don’t see how that’s a defense.

I’ve seen them live 2 or 3 times, could have been 4 or 5 times, but we started skipping the openers when they were on tour.
Having someone scream and swear at you is just not my idea of a good time or good music. And when you’re completely baked, awaiting dino, and someone comes out on stage and does that, all you can say is wtf buzz kill. And when more than half of the crowd is yelling back and throwing bottles at you, well it just might be true.If they open for Dino in NYC coming up, then I, like probably a lot of other people, will be showing up ‘fashionably late’
