Ok I know this ones going to be hard, and maybe not a popular new thread!!

But is there a Dino song you just don’t get?- for whatever reason!!!
Before I going any further D.jr are my fav band & mascis is god. Where you been is my fav album etc etc.For me its flying cloud. Its the only song I ever skip. Im not 100% sure why??
Im hoping this isn’t a negative discussion,If anything the opposite! I hope someone will be able to explain what Im missing about this tune & why they love it!
November 12, 2006 at 10:21 am #123281I didn’t used to like flying cloud either but i listened to it on martin and me and started to really like it. I guess it muck for me, I dont know why I just dont like it.
I still haven’t bought Hand It Over yet, alot of people say Alone is the best song from it and I don’t like that one either so…. There’s a few from Without a Sound that aren’t great, Feel The Pain
I cannot find a flaw in the first 3 albums though, thats why they’re my favorite band and that’s what I usually always listen to

November 12, 2006 at 8:44 pm #123284yah but overall poledo is just kinda boring
November 12, 2006 at 10:06 pm #123285Call me crazy, but Poledo is one of my favorite Dino songs.
November 12, 2006 at 10:23 pm #123286for a long time i had a problem with not the same..i don’t know why, maybe it was just too much for me being the depressed teenager i was..but i like it now

it’s all good
November 13, 2006 at 5:28 am #123287Don’t is the only song I skip. Screaming, noodling, and reverb just isn’t a good idea. Everything else though is golden.

Also, if they count, I don’t really like Feel a Whole Lot Better or Lotta Love.
November 13, 2006 at 11:14 am #123290I totally love Poledo, Dont and Pointless. I’ve edited my version of poledo to loop the noise at the end for over an hour
it really spaces me out, and the live version of Don’t on JLouMurph for me captures all the hate between the band perfectly. Pointless is so bizarre, I love it.I just guess we all have our own tastes but the important thing is we all love dinosaur
November 13, 2006 at 1:56 pm #123291I love Pointless, Pointless is not pointless at all!
Poledo is great sometimes, wouldn’t want YLAOM without it. But then again, I wouldn’t want YLAOM without any of the YLAOM tunes, and maybe that’s the one YLAOM tune that I would least strongly object to having YLAOM without (given that we’re not counting Show me the way as a proper YLAOM tune), but YLAOM should definitely not be without it either, because it rules in Lou’s own special little way, and why mess with a perfect album?
The songs I’m the least fond of are a few of the later ones, like Tell the Truth. Can’t get over that I think the chorus is a bit lame.

I think that song is really cool musically but I think the lyrics are pretty low quality overall.

and Don’t is great for those great Stooges-like improvisation.
