looks like most of the DVD is the 2nd night at the middle east in exact order (they didnt play tarpit the 2nd night.. but they did the 1st night)

          2nd night:
          Gargoyle
          Kracked
          Bulbs
          Little Fury Things
          Lose
          Forget the Swan
          Post
          Budge
          Lung
          Wagon
          Raisans

          Freakscene
          Mountain Man
          Chunks

          In a Jar

the only 3 that they didnt play in that set that are on the DVD are:

          12 SludgeFeast
          17 Repulsion
          18 Just Like Heaven

woulda been cool to see that tarpit opener, but they mighta skipped it so there wasnt a show opener in the middle of the dvd? who knows

The DVD, due May 8 via Image Entertainment, was directed by Gold in Berlin, a company run by Mascis’ brother-in-law Philip Virus.

As previously reported, Dinosaur Jr. plan to release a currently untitled album in Spring 2007. The trio has spent the last month recording at Bisquiteen, J Mascis’ Amherst, MA home studio. Mascis will produce the album, and John Agnello will mix and engineer it (not produce, as incorrectly previously reported). Justin Pizzoferrato will help out with the engineering.

            Can’t wait!!!

No shit. What the fuck? It’s one of their 4 or 5 greatest, most reliable live tunes. I was so looking forward to blasting that through my stereo. At least they could’ve included it as bonus material, no? Otherwise, though, that’s a solid set.

Oh, I’m still going to buy it but Tarpit is my favorite of the Lou-era songs and definitely my favorite song live. Still, I can’t wait for this release.

Of course I’ll buy it, and it’ll be nice to see Repulsion again (I’ve missed it since they dropped it from the set). And they played Tarpit one night in NYC last week, and they played it at both gigs I saw at the end of the summer, so I can’t really complain. But how I *do* love to complain…..

I was there both nights in NY last week and don’t remember tarpit. Definately not the second night.

First song of the encore, in fact. Sounded great! All the yelling for it all night apparently did some good.
